Alcoholic Punch Recipes for Halloween

Halloween isn't just for kids, and we're not talking about stealing from our kids' candy stash. Halloween parties are lots of fun for adults. From crazy costumes to spooky treats, we like to celebrate too.
If you're planning a Halloween party, check out the alcoholic punch recipes we found. They're all eerily perfect for a grown-up gathering.
Alcoholic Punch Recipes: Halloween Eyeball Punch
The star of this spooky punch from Olivia's Cuisine are lychees stuffed with blueberries, which look startlingly similar to eyeballs. You could also use cranberries or maraschino cherries. Find canned lychees in an Asian grocery or in the Asian foods aisle at many supermarkets. If you can't locate black currant juice, try pomegranate juice to achieve that same deep purple color.
Quadruple Olivia's recipe (at least) if you're planning to serve it in a punch bowl. Good news: the frozen stuffed lychees will serve as ice cubes, so you won't need to worry about watered down punch.
Alcoholic Punch Recipes: Vampire Punch With Blood-Rimmed Glasses
This punch from Cookin Canuck is pretty simple, but it's the blood-rimmed glasses that really make it a killer addition to your Halloween party. Combine lime sherbet, pink grapefruit juice, club soda and vodka for the punch. You can blend them like Dara did, or just stir them together in your punch bowl.
To make the blood, mix corn syrup with just a few drops of red food coloring. Dip the rim of each glass into a saucer full of blood, and then let it drip down the sides. Less is more. You'll want to use clear glasses or plastic cups to get the full effect. Creepy!
Alcoholic Punch Recipes: Spooky Halloween Pumpkin Punch
Here's another punch recipe that's delicious on its own, but the presentation makes it even better. To make this punch from HonestlyYUM, use pumpkin puree from a can or from a pie pumpkin you've roasted yourself. Don't forget the spiced syrup and spiced rum, and the cinnamon stick garnishes are a must.
Plenty of punch recipes call for dry ice to create the smoking cauldron effect. But we think the hollowed-out pumpkin singles out this recipe. A Halloween party is a pretty big deal, so we say why not pull out all the stops.
Alcoholic Punch Recipes: Trailer Park Smash
This punch recipe from Food and Wine is for all the guys who never thought they would drink party punch. It includes rye, bitters, vermouth, caraway syrup and beer. Yes, beer. Miami mixologist Gui Jaroschy recommends using Miller High Life, which makes us cringe. But he's the expert, so we'll do as he says.
Whether you use Miller High Life in the punch or opt for something else (pumpkin ale, maybe?), we love the two bottles standing in the bowl "for stragglers who arrive at the end of the night." Hilarious!
Alcoholic Punch Recipes: Sweet Poison Cocktail
While this recipe is for a cocktail, not punch, we couldn't resist including it. First, the Sweet Poison Cocktail was created by Jekyll and Hyde in Greenwich Village, which is one of the spookiest places any time of year. Plus we're amazed by the vibrant colors.
How do they do it? Blue Curaçao and pineapple juice. This drink is definitely on the sweet side, so take it easy.
Happy Halloween!
