National Bundt Day: Let Them Eat Cake!

National Bundt Day: Let Them Eat Cake!

Posted by Julie on Nov 14th 2016

Tomorrow is National Bundt Day -- what a wonderful excuse to eat cake! We've recently added several Bundt cake pans from Nordic Ware to our store. If you didn't already know, Nordic Ware introduced the Bundt pan in the 1950s. That heritage is one of the many reasons we love Nordic Ware products.

In celebration of National Bundt Day, we're highlighting some of our favorite Bundt cake pans, along with a couple Bundt-related accessories. If you aren't already a Bundt cake fan, we bet you will be after reading this post!

Get the Best From Your Bundt Cake Pans

Nordic Ware Bundt cake pans are made from aluminum with a nonstick surface. However, Nordic Ware recommends brushing the interior of your pan with vegetable shortening, then dusting with flour. You can also use a nonstick cooking spray with flour, but you should brush it into all the crevices after spraying.

Next, slowly pour batter into the prepared pan. Be sure your batter has filled up all those crevices by tapping the pan gently on the counter. This removes any air bubbles. Finally, let your finished cake cool for no more than 10 minutes before inverting it directly onto a cooling rack.

While we can't guarantee following these steps will result in a flawless Bundt cake, they'll definitely help your chances!

Bundt Cake Pans for All Year Long

Bundt Cake Pans: The Nordic Ware Bavaria Bundt cake pan has a striking design that looks impressive both plain and glazed.

A Bundt cake pan with fantastic lines for glazing or frosting is the Nordic Ware Bavaria Bundt cake pan (above). Even if you leave it plain, the design is still striking. To make sure each of those pleats comes out looking sharp, follow the pan prep instructions carefully.

Bundt Cake Pans: The Nordic Ware Anniversary Bundtlette cake pan turns out miniature Bundt cakes that everyone will love.

We also love the Nordic Ware Anniversary Bundtlette pan (above), which turns out miniature versions of the design created by Nordic Ware in honor of their 65th anniversary. These cakes are more fun than cupcakes, and they're easier to eat too.

Bundt Cake Pans for the Holidays

Bundt Cake Pans: The Nordic Ware Star of David Bundt cake pan is ideal for Hanukkah, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, and other Jewish celebrations.

Nordic Ware holiday Bundt cake pans could help you change up your holiday desserts (and impress your guests too). The Nordic Ware Star of David Bundt cake pan (above) is ideal for Hanukkah, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, and other Jewish celebrations. Frost it to highlight the two triangles and the points of the star, or serve it plain.

Bundt Cake Pans: The Nordic Ware Pine Forest Bundt cake pan works for all winter celebrations, especially as you head into the new year.

We're partial to the Nordic Ware Pine Forest Bundt cake pan (above) because it works for all winter celebrations, especially as you head into the new year. We love Nordic Ware's idea to sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar to resemble snow. Try making a gingerbread cake for the full holiday effect!
