The Vitamix 48-Ounce Container with SELF-DETECT is made from BPA-free Eastman Tritan copolyester. This container is designed to handle small to medium batches and keep liquids from leaking into the motor base. The vented lid makes it safe and convenient to blend both hot and cold mixtures. The removable lid plug doubles as a two ounce measuring cup and allows you to add ingredients. Lid and container are both dishwasher safe.
The blade base is compatible with Vitamix Ascent Series blenders only. It features laser cut blades made from hardened stainless steel for strength and durability. SELF-DETECT technology allows your Vitamix Ascent Series blender to identify which size container is in use and adjust settings accordingly.
